MOXI is very well tolerated. Most patients describe a gentle warmth with a light prickling sensation. Comfort measures are used throughout treatment to ensure a calm, supported experience, and topical numbing is applied. Treatment time is also very fast!
Downtime is minimal. Mild redness typically lasts 24–48 hours, followed by a slightly rough, sandpaper-like texture for several days as the skin renews. Most patients can return to normal activities quickly, and makeup can usually be worn within 24 hours.

To ensure safe, effective results:
• Avoid intentional sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tan for at least 2-4 weeks before treatment. Traces of self-tan in the area can increase burn risk.
• Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), and other strong actives for 5-7 days prior.
• Avoid aggressive exfoliation or other resurfacing treatments in the week leading up to your session.
• Use medical-grade skincare to strengthen your skin barrier and reduce inflammation, supporting better outcomes.
• Inform your provider of any medications, skin conditions, or recent treatments that may affect your session.
MOXI is not appropriate if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding (precautionary for elective cosmetic treatments)
• Have active skin infections, open wounds, or severe inflammation in the treatment area
• Have uncontrolled acne or skin conditions that require stabilisation first
• Have taken isotretinoin (Roaccutane/Accutane) within the past 6 months
